Al – the way we met was the beginning of the laughs and they continued on through time. I’m sorry that your body caused you so much pain the last 4-5 years. For that reason I’m thankful that you won’t suffer anymore!!! RIP friend!

Whose butt am I going to kick in Jeopardy now? Who is going to have to suffer my latest political rant? Who is gonna come back to grab laundry and wind up in a philosophical conversation lasting 2 hours? These I will miss. Here’s to you, Al. You could make a long ten hours feel like a short shift. While I’ll miss not seeing you, I probably won’t stop talking to you. Goodnight buddy, it’s been real.

American Joe will be sorely missed. He was a great friend during a trying time in my life. Encouraging words from experience beyond my time and a joke or 10 to go with it. His rickshaw will be retired and dipped in gold.

I am so sad and grateful all at the same time. I have grown accustomed to seeing Al’s musical posts and enjoying his musical choices daily. And grateful that I knew this beautiful man! Thankful he has no more pain. Heaven is definitely rejoicing with his presence. You will be missed daily my friend! And I won’t be able to butt dial you anymore! Rest in peace my sweet friend and I will see you again someday! Love to Michelle and Kyle-you have a wonderful angel on your side now. I pray for you both and hope you find peace in your days to come.

Praying for comfort, peace and understanding for Al’s family and friends. I saw him making rounds just about every night at GM. We always took a few minutes to chat and find out how each other was doing. He always had a smile and kind words. He will definitely be missed. Deepest condolences to his wife and family.

To Michelle and Kyle, I am praying for your continued strength in the Lord…I have been thinking a lot about you since I heard the news. Al was a great friend to me and always offered a warm hug and listening ear, he will truly be missed. He will forever be known to me as “sexual white chocolate” (we made that up from Coming to America) he was just funny like that. He is the only person that could pull a smile out of me when I was down, I will forever miss him…thank you for do humbly sharing him and his sense of humor with us ❤️

I can’t believe that 20 years has passed since I last spoke to you. Alan and I were 3 days apart; death seems so prominent now. He was always in a learning curve back then. My brother and Alan would rock out on guitars and Jeannine and I would throw potato chips and laugh. Alan came out to California for a while and we all had a great time. Really, since my brother’s death there is no one to call with the horrible news. Thank you Michelle for letting me know. My deepest condolences to you and your son.
