Dorothy J. Fischer, age 93 of Dutzow Missouri died Saturday April 21 at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in O’Fallon Missouri. She was born June 27, 1924, and united in marriage to Norman A. Fischer on April 3, 1948. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mabel Lause, Husband Norman A. Fischer, Brother Norman Lause and Wife Ellen, Daughter Ann Fischer, Daughter in Law Kathy Fischer, in-laws Kenneth and Edith Fischer and George and Lorraine Cruise.
She is survived by her children, Mary Green and Husband Rick of Hattiesburg MS., Bob Fischer and Wife Mary of St. Charles MO., Bill Fischer of Perryville MO., Pat Kistner and Husband Dave of Plano TX., Carolyn Sutorius and Husband Rich of St. Charles MO,. Don Fischer of Washington MO., Norman Fischer and Wife Shari of Marthasville MO., her 20 Grandchildren, her 8 Great Grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
The work Dorothy loved most was being a loving wife and mother of 8 children. She was very active in church. She also loved to socialize with friends, play cards and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Vincent Catholic School in Dutzow, Missouri.
A Celebration of her life will be held May 7th at St. Vincent Church, 13497 S. Missouri 94, Marthasville MO 63357. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Reverend Eugene Robertson will officiate. There will be a celebration of life luncheon immediately following the service.
