I remember Jim from my high school years with Christine. Even as a teen, I was always amazed by what an extraordinary Dad he was and could tell he was so proud to be just that, a Dad!
My sincere condolences to the Booker Family. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I will especially miss my favorite cuz on a spring day soon when the sun is shining and we could have taken a jaunt up the river road to Grafton in the red Mustang. Top down, music blaring, Jim driving enthusiastically-

I will miss my friend, Jim, very much. I only knew him for a short few years but I always very much enjoyed his great humor and positive outlook on life. Nothing meant more to him than the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He was a very proud Grandpa and Dad. Rest in peace, my friend.

To our high school classmates he was simply Booker. We had close to 600 people in that class, but I think everyone knew who Booker was. He just had that kind of personality. RIP Jim.

Jim and I had fun working together as well as non-work fun together for some 35 years. He is one of the best opticians I’ve known. He wholeheartedly loved his family and loved having a family. He truly did never meet a stranger. I will miss you. As an inside private chuckle for you in the beyond…only you ever ground, edged and fit a banana! Chantilly Lace good buddy.

To my dear friend”Booker”. You were one of a kind. I knew that every time I visited St. Louis, I would always get to see you. You always took the time to make that happen. You have touched so many lives, you have left us with so many good memories. At our Annual Manager’s meetings, you were always the life of the party. We will miss you my friend, until we meet again. Love you buddy 💕

My sincere condolences to the Booker Family on the passing of Jim. I knew him for well over 20 years from being the safety eye glass optician/technician at SVS. Over the years, many Ford and Olin employees were so very fond of Jim and how he always took care of our vision needs. His smile was constant and infectious. Seeing him driving with his head barely over the steering wheel of his Mustang was a sight!! It was impossible to leave him without feeling better. Rest in Peace…. “JB Tang”.
