James “Jim” Floydd McGrath

McGrath, James (Jim) Floydd, 63, of Florissant, MO, passed away on January 9, 2021.
Jim was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from McCluer High School and worked in the Elevator Construction Union for his career.
Jim was married to Jeannie (Shymanski) on April 27, 1985. They were married for 35 years.
Jim worked in Local Union 3 for 30+ years before retiring to enjoy spending time with loved ones. When he was not spending time with his family and friends, Jim loved to spend time at his family's farm and lake house.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Alice McGrath (Amsinger), his sister Dollie Hughes and brother-in-laws Jeff Foulks and Chester Vance.
Jim is survived by his three children, Melissa Bryan, Lorin (Chris) Aslin and Jamie McGrath; his grandchildren Ebony (Grant) Shannon, Tommy Bryan, Annabelle Bryan, Olivia Aslin, Jace Aslin and Madelynn Aslin; great grandchild, Aaron Shannon; dear brother to Michael McGrath (Mary Ann), Joann Taylor (Bob), Colleen Marr (Joe), Phyllis Foulks, Glen McGrath (Pat), Carol Miller (Ed).
Brother-in-law to Carolyn (Don) Boettcher, Marlene Vance, Dan (Vicki) Shymanski, Bob (Karen) Shymanski, Jim (Sandi) Shymanski.
Jim is a dear uncle and cousin to many and beloved friend to all.
A memorial service is currently underway and will be announced. A celebration of life will be planned for this summer near his birthday and details will be forthcoming.
In lieu of flower memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society. The family of Jim McGrath wishes to thank the wonderful staff at David C. Pratt Cancer Center and Mercy St. Louis Intensive Care Unit.
