Joshua (Bubba) Townsend 32, of Pacific, MO was born September 16, 1987 and passed away on May 4, 2020. Josh was a kind, thoughtful, handsome and funny man. He had a genuine heart and cared deeply for others.

He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, he liked to go fishing and loved his job; he was definitely a hard worker. He had many struggles over the years but he was trying to do the right thing and fight for what was most important to him, which was being a good father to his daughter, his health and making good choices.

He was an amazing friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his parents Bill and Donna Nunnery and Terry Townsend; a daughter, Alexis Hudgens; a brother, Billy Nunnery Jr; Two sisters, Shannon Kollmorgan and Dallas Nunnery; and cousins, Ashley Nunnery Bova, Joe Galarza, Kyle Nunnery Fullhart, Katrina Nunnery Fullhart, Hannah Contreras and his cousin Lisa Nunnery whom he loved dearly precedes him in death. He has many other aunts, uncles, cousins and family who love him and will greatly miss him.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Cremation Society of Missouri in order to assist with his cremation. You can reach Amy directly at 636-946-9896.

Lil’ Brother…I am thankful we were able to start building a relationship over the past year. I am heartbroken you were taken so young. You had so much more to do in this life. I know you and Lisa are together now…watching over everyone and guiding people to do the right thing, just as you both wanted to do in this life. I will love you forever.

My dearest cousin Josh. Wasnt just my cousin but he was almost my brother and best friend. Josh Townsend, his cousin and my sister Lisa Nunnery (who precedes him in death) Dallas Nunnery his sister and my cousin, and me his cousin. Well us four kids grew up on the same block in Pacific, MO. Well same Apt complex really. Then we all got older and went our seperate ways. Running into and living by one another from time to time. No matter what us four kids stayed in touch and had a bond a person could envy.
As of today its me Ashley and Dallas Nunnery that live outta us four kids. We coulsnt be more devastated.
Josh or as hed say “Cuzo, home is where you make it” “you heeeard me” a line from Joe Diry and a lune hed crack me up that he made up himself. Ill always cherish the time I got with you Josh Townsend aka Bubba. Its never going to be the same in life without you though. I hurt everyday I cant hear you. I hurt knowing that my dearest friends real friends are gone. Just plz say hey to Lisa for me. You two are my angels. I love you forever and ever cuz.
    Love always, Oot
Or as youd say “Oots scoot and Boogie”
For those of you who dont kno my nickname as a child among our family was Oodle. Well still is too.

Josh and me became real close this last year. He would text me just to say hello. Have a great day. My heart is still shattered. He really was an amazing dude. I hung out with him 12 hrs before he passed and it breaks my heart. He was doing so good and working so hard. He got his Volvo and brought it over to show me and he was so proud. I’ll miss you man. I’m so sorry you were taken so early.
