Keith D. Bier

Keith Donald Bier (Bierman to his hockey team) Born April 10, 1960 and passed away on August 15, 2021 in St. Charles MO, Keith was 61 years old.

He passed away on a sunny and very warm day a normal day to most, but this was not just any day to his family, this day 34 years ago we would say good-bye to our daughter Danielle Leigh Bier. It was of such comfort that he would be with her now, to join her in Heaven as he had missed her so much here on earth.

Keith was born and raised in Ferguson MO. His parents Elizabeth and Donald Bier shared a home on Beacon Ave with him and his other 3 siblings. Cyndy Bier, Kenny Bier and Dawn Bier.

He was a best friend, a father, a mentor, a brother, son and an amazing grandfather.

He loved his daughter Shelbly and his beautiful grandchildren, Valerie Noelle, Sophia Lynn and Shane Keith. He was so proud of them and talked about them in a loving and endearing way.

Keith was a character, he was funny, witty and loved to be the clown in the room. He so enjoyed making people laugh and he succeded in doing just that. His friends and family loved to be with him.

So many things come to mind about Keith. He loved rainy days, waking up to snow and animals. His love for North Dakota , where he spent so much time, loving the hard work and grandparents that resided there. He would tell everyone that there was no sky prettier than a North Dakota sky. He loved playing music. He always had something playing when you went to visit him in his home. Love of puzzels. He loved doing these so much, He would later teach his daugthter and granddaughter to do them. It was a time of shared stories and laughter. He was my daughters midnight puzzel partner. He loved children. I always said he missed his calling because he would have been the best mentor and teacher of History and Religion. He taught a youth hockey team as he so enjoyed being a goalie with his own team that would go to Canada and win several awards for being the best. It was said by his friend that he didn't even know how to skate when he first started out, but he kept at it and became one of the best in the legue. His love for the Civil War would be topics of conversation to help his daughter and greanddaughter learn of the factual events that transpired during that time in history. He loved to read and share this knowledge with anyone that would listen. He would later begin to do Civil war reenactments. He gathered momentoes of this time and it would be said that he should have been born in that time frame. He knew it so well and was so comfortable in telling these events in a way that made it fun and was easier to understand.

He was a maticulous man. He loved nice cars and clothes. Loved to collect glassware. He remained humble his whole lfe.

He had this unconditional love for Lionel Trains. Something that he grew up with and enjoyed until his death. His collection spanned over 30 years and he shared his love of them with family and friends. His grandson, Shane Keith, was his train buddy. His desire was to have an operational and hands-on train for his grandchildren Sophia, Shane, Valerie and his daughter Shelby to enjoy and come to love them as much as he did.

During his life he once said that he knew he would pass away from a catastophic illness. Durng the last 6 years of his life he would embark on a journey with many challenges and struggles, but he was never alone. His unbelievable love for God would keep him going and on some occasions he would surpass death several times. He was blessed by God to have an amazing team of doctors that didn't give up on him. He prayed and talked to God in a way that would make your heart hurt. His knowledge of the Lord was no different than the other things that he was knowledgable in, he took the time to learn and speak the truth of the believes that he had. He taught me to love God and trust in him even when I had so many questions as to WHY? He always said it was good to question but to understand that God had his reasons even when we had no idea what good could come out of the pain and sorry that was felt. He taught me empathy, something i didn't even know that I had in me. Everytime he got sick, I would become paralized. He kept pushing me to move forward. I can honestly say the one thing he would want all of his friends and loved one to know is, he dosen't want anyone to suffer the way he did. He later would learn that your body is a temple, something sacred. He would want all of you to know he wanted the best for all of you in health and in spirital wellness. He was a kind, loving and a genuine man. He gave to others as the Lord gave to him, his teacher, his menotor and now he resides with him in heaven. He will look down upon us and guide us and we will know that he is with us. When you see a cardinal know that your loved ones in Heaven are coming to visit you. When you feel the warmth of the sun and the wind on your face, know that he is visiting you and passing by to remind us of his love for us. He will never be forgotten but will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
