Fonte, Thomas Vincent, of Warrenton, MO, passed away at home July 30, 2020 at the age of 73.

Tom was born to parents Vincent and Rosalie (De Manuele) Fonte on August 25, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. He grew up the oldest of 5 kids. In 1967, he enlisted during the Vietnam conflict, stationed at the U.S. Naval Air Facility in Naples, Italy as a Navy PCSN, and serving his country honorably until his discharge in 1970.

Tom married Donna Lincoln, February 13, 1971 and the couple had two children. Tom worked for General Motors Assembly Plant in St. Louis and in Wentzville, and was a proud UAW member. He retired January 1, 2007.

Tom is survived by his sons, Tommy (Amy) Fonte II and Tony Fonte; his grandchildren Rachael, Brianna, Shay, Carissa, Alex, and Kailee; great grandchildren Jaylin, Noella, Maddie, Rayleigh, Paisley, Raelynn, and Roman; dear brother of Paul (Karen) Fonte, Diane McFate, Vincent (Linda) Fonte, and Larry Fonte; and dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many more.

Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Donna and daughter-in-law, Jennifer.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Baue Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetic Association, or to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. The family of Thomas Fonte wishes to thank the incredible staff at SSM Hospice.

    Love you dad you will be missed, I am glad that i had time to spend with you on your last days , loved talking to you even though you couldn’t respond I knew you could hear me . Try not to cause to much trouble up there and I hope you found a great fishing hole

    I met Tom at G.M. Years ago. He was honest and a good worker… a strong union man. I was his elected alternate for a time and appreciated his candor. Thought a lot of him. Sorry to see his passing.

    My condolences to the Fonte family. I’ve searched off and on for my cousins for years. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m Tom’s first cousin.

    TOM and I were stationed in NAPLES at the same time we worked together I was PC2.. We were buddies. WEgot toggether briefly after the navy in Ferguson, MO.he had a cousin sattioned with us Andy Gucccione. I’m sorry thought look look him up. I sure would have like to see him after all these years.
