Vincent West

Vincent Eugene West of Foristell, MO passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 5:15am at the age of 66. He fought the good fight against cancer for 3 years and is now at peace now and with his wife, Vickie Ruth West, whom predeceased him in 2013. Vincent was born on August 16, 1952 in St. Francois County Missouri to parents Virgie L Burns and William O West. Vincent was the loving father of three, daughters Christi M. Schaefer of Wright City, MO, Dawn M. Carlton of Jacksonville, FL, and son Keith P. Baisch of Lake St. Louis, MO. Vincent was a grandfather of 3, Alexander Arthur Leeke whom passed away on December 30, 2015, Dylan Baisch and Jordan Baisch. Vincent was the dear brother of William “Bill” and sisters Louise and Launa Gene and brother-in-law Charlie.

Vincent was an amazing lead guitarist, rocking the house many nights with his musical creations and rich musical history. He was lead guitarist for the band Gibraltar and in the later years of his life, Smoking Nomads. Vincent’s Gibraltar music can be found on YouTube searching under Joe Prichard and Gibraltar.

Vincent was loved by everyone who knew him, and he had many stories to tell, which made all laugh when he would recite those. Vincent will be dearly missed. Thank you to all friends and family that were there in the end days of Vincent’s life.

The family is being served by Cremation Society of Missouri. A celebration of life party for close family and all friends will be held in late July 2019 at Vincent’s home in Wright City, MO.
