Betty L. Campbell (nee Butler), of St. Peters, MO passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the age of 83.
Betty was born in Moberly, MO and graduated from Moberly High School, she continued on to Southeast Missouri State University to receive her bachelor’s degree in education. She earned her master’s degree at the University of Missouri and completed “plus 30” post graduate hours at Northeast Missouri State University.
Betty taught in the Pattonville and Orchard Farms school districts and at St. Lawrence. Most of her time teaching was at Parkwood Elementary School. After her retirement from Pattonville, Betty spent her time traveling, volunteering, and following the Cardinals. She played in multiple bridge clubs and was an avid reader. Most of all, she cherished time with her family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty was caring and compassionate and never went anywhere without making a friend or putting a smile on someone’s face. She had the best sense of humor and brought joy and comfort to so many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the fortune to know her.
Devoted mother to her children, Bo (Cathy) Campbell, Leigh (Scott) Shull, and the late Mindy (Terry) Green; dearest grandma to her grandchildren Christie Campbell, Daniel Campbell, Kelly Campbell, Sam Shull, and Sadie Shull.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mindy Green, her parents, Robert and Thelma Butler, and her sister, Phyllis Myer.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Arlington United Methodist Church (3770 McKelvey Rd, Bridgeton, MO 63044).
