Carol A. Nelson

Carol Anne Nelson [nee Pfaff], 71 years of age, born in St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Carol graduated from St. Charles High School in 1970 and continued on to receive a Nursing Degree from from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO, in 1983, after dedicating over 10 years to being a nursing tech. Carol was married to Joseph Nelson of St. Louis County, and lived many years together in St. Charles.

Carol worked as an Oncology Nurse at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. Carol relocated back to her home town, St. Charles, to assist her father and sister to care for her mother. Carol continued to work as a Home Health Nurse at Barnes Jewish Christian in St. Louis, MO.

Carol enjoyed knitting, needle-point, crocheting, and was an avid reader. Carol is survived by her husband, Joseph, her sisters Mary Lee Blechle and Patricia Louise Clark, and her brother Dale Stephen Pfaff and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by Mother, Dorris Bacon Pfaff and Father, Julius John Pfaff.  The family will conduct a private memorial ceremony.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
