Carolyn A. Potter

Carolyn Ann (Copeland) Hitt Potter was born in Southeast Missouri on December 9, 1945 and passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 75 at the BJC Hospital in St. Peters, Missouri.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Leland Potter; daughter-in-law, Michele (Kelly) Hitt; cherished granddaughter, Isabela Grace May Hitt. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Danielle Moore and husband, Jeff, their children, Austin Chase (wife, Samantha and children Pearl and Kit), Dallas Chase (Payton Eades and children Clayton Moore and Danyel Moore) and was a loving stepmother and grandmother to their families. Carolyn is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gerald Hitt and lifelong friend Linda Sue Smith (husband, Jack).

Carolyn is preceded in death by her only son, Keith Allen Hitt, as well as her sister, Martha Sue and her parents, Eulis and Ruby Copeland.

Funeral services are to be held in the late winter/early Spring in Gordonville, Missouri. Please reach out to the family for more information on how to attend.

Carol will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She celebrated life by her love of cooking for others and gardening. We take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and reunited with her son and parents.

An angel lived among us.

A gift from God above.

She showered us with kindness and shared with us her love. 

She is now resting peacefully in heaven, 

But never far away, 

Smiling down on every one of us and telling us she's okay.
