Catherine Ann Strid

Strid, Catherine Ann (Nee: Grasso), 58, of Saint Charles, MO, died on July 6th, 2022

Catherine was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from Lafayette Highschool. She continued to lead many wonderful careers though out the years.

Catherine was known for her support in the Cancer community, and her inspirational fighter spirit. She was a long time cancer survivor, and never took a day of life for granted. Her circle was large, as she captured the hearts of everyone she met.

Catherine is survived by her two children, Ian Strid, and Nina Dufrenne; and son in law, Nicholas Dufrenne.

Catherine was the beloved grandmother of Ellise, Aubree, Louis, and Emma Dufrenne.

Amazing sister of John Grasso (Mina), Lou Grasso, III (Carina), Mike Grasso (Cindy), Joe Grasso, Jim Grasso (Kim), Therese Grasso, Linda Haefer (Joe) & Tom Grasso (Danielle).  

Forever in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Grasso; and husband, John Strid.

Her celebration of life will be held at the New Town Event Center, Friday, July 15th at 5:30 PM. This will be a joyous event, in honor of the life Cathy lead, and the legacy she left behind. Please no black, or typical funeral respects. This is a celebration.

Instead of flowers, the family has asked for plants or plantable seeds/flowers that can live on in Cathy's honor.

A "Cathy's Cure of Love" pre event will be held at Shamrocks Pub & Grill, at 6:30 PM on the 14th of July. Please wear your favorite "Cathy" tshirt (if previously purchased), and come ready to toast in her honor.
