On August 15, 2020, Charles Gary Clark, at the age of 70, peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home. He is survived by his wife Donna Ruth (Cain) Clark, whom he married in 1986 and shared 33 wonderful years of marriage together in St. Paul, Missouri, where they raised their family.
Gary was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 26, 1950. There he attended school in Berkeley, Missouri and graduated from Berkley High School in 1968. After enjoying a career in the plumbing and distribution industry, he retired in 2012 to enjoy life with his family.
Gary was tender heartened and will be remembered for his kind, compassionate ways and a giving nature, always showing the love of Christ and caring for others. He was the living embodiment of leading through example just as Jesus Christ led and sacrificed for us. Everything he did was for the glory of his Savior. He was, without a doubt, met with “Well done good and faithful servant. Welcome home.”
Gary loved St. Louis sports, building and creating model train layouts, vacationing, working in his yard (but Clark bros don’t work past noon), outdoor grilling, being an unofficial food critic, and listening to biblical teachers, but his passion was enjoying and being with his family and friends.
He is survived by his 3 beautiful children, Lauren (Elijah) Murrell, Kelsey (Luke) Wright, and Rebecca (Michael) Thomas and his 6 grandchildren, Titus Murrell, Addison “Addie” Murrell, Logan Murrell, Tessa Wright, Genevieve “Evie” Wright, and Hank Thomas. He was always so thankful and blessed to be surrounded by family.
A celebration of life has been arranged for Gary at First Assembly Church (4750 N Service Rd. St. Peters, MO 63376) on Saturday, August 29th at 1pm with service to follow at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian School District. Checks can be made out and sent to Christian School District (CSD) with a note in the memo stating “in memory of Gary Clark.” Christian School District P.O.
