Charles M. Miller, Jr.

On Saturday, May 11, 2019, Charles M. Miller, Jr. loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 80. 

Charlie was born on May 2, 1939 in St Louis, MO. He graduated from Webster Groves High School, and he worked at Laclede Gas Co. for 35 years in St Louis. On March 7, 1957, he married his high school sweetheart, Luann Appleby. They raised and are survived by three sons, Charley (Carol), Dan, and Mike (Beth); cherished grandfather of Michael, Bradley (Kelly), Regan, and Reid; five great-grandchildren Kayley, Tyler, Katelyn, Riley and Quynn; dearest brother of Gloria (Bill) and William (Karen); wonderful brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Luann, after 59 years of marriage and his parents Charles M. Sr. and Mary (Nee: Brennan).

Charlie had a passion for photography/film, woodworking and boating. He and Luann boated for many years on the Mississippi River – Alton Pool.  He loved watching classic movies from the 40’s and 50’s. He was also an avid music lover of Dixieland, Big Band, and Country music. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved sports and watching his children and grandchildren participate in many activities.

Memorial contributions may be made to BJC Hospice at 1935 Beltway Drive, St. Louis, MO  63114.  A private life celebration will be held at a future date.
