Darrell Orin Martin, 75, of Eolia, MO passed away October 28 2016 at his residence with his loving wife Georgiana (Joann) at his side after a long battle with severe Vascular & Liver Disease.
Born March 31 1941 in Calico Rock Arkansas, he was the son of Kirby Jefferson and Ida Roosevelt (Clark) Martin. He married Jacqueline Faye Cowen on August 15 1959 in Mammoth Spring Arkansas. She proceeded him in death on October 22 1993. On November 8 1996 in Piggott Arkansas he married Georgiana (Joann) Shade who survives.
Darrell began his working life at the age of 13 in a grocery store in Thayer, Missouri and worked until his retirement from McDonnell Douglas in 1996. Darrell's life was filled with many interests and hobbies, but his greatest enjoyment was his family.
Survivors include his Children: Terri (Jerry) Bradford of Bartlesville, Ok, Wesley (Starla) Martin of Caney, KS, and Jeffrey (Pam) Martin of Eolia, MO. Stepchildren: Gregory (Cindy) Sims of Alton, IL, Michelle (Chuck) Griffieth of Goodfield, IL, and Brandon (Jessica) Pleus and of Tuscon AZ, 15 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Fern Brimager and Wilma Martin, two brothers Junior Martin and Cleo Martin, and one grandson Paul Martin.
Interment has been accorded and a private service will be held at Troy City Cemetery in Troy Mo.
Memorials can be made to the Peoples Bank & Trust for the Paul Martin fund, Darrell's grandson who passed away unexpectedly on October 27 2016.
