David “Dave” Bloomquist
David (Dave) Bloomquist, 67, of O’Fallon, MO died on May 25, 2020.
Dave was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 2, 1953. He grew up in Grand Haven, Michigan and graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1971.
After earning a degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University, he worked in the grocery industry throughout his career. Whether a buyer at Meijer in West Michigan or a category manager at Save-A-Lot in the St. Louis area, Dave’s accomplishments in his career earned him recognition in frozen food expertise and from his peers.
Dave was an avid sports fan of all teams Michigan, including the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers and Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!
The shores of Lake Michigan were Dave’s favorite locations and he enjoyed spending time with his family there.
He is survived by his wife, Chris, and children, Kate and Mike.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Stella Bloomquist.
