Diana Borghesi

d. July 1, 2018

Borghesi, Diana Louise of St. Charles, MO, passed away on Sunday, July 1st, 2018, at the age of 70. She was widowed by her late beloved husband of 30 years, Micheal Patrick Krimmel; adoring mother of Melissa Gaynor, William Gaynor and Vincent and Esther Krimmel. Dear sister to Ray, Ron and Roy Borghesi; grandmother to Christian, Hayden and Maggie; loving aunt and great aunt.

Diana will be dearly remembered by all those graced by her generosity and warm presence. Her hospitable Italian nature knew no equal in her community, and was complimented uniquely by a rare insightful humor and humble wisdom. She supported the arts, and was a lifelong fan of rock and roll music. Diana was an excellent cook with a developed palate. She was a natural with all things design related, and possessed a high aptitude for poetic wordplay. Diana’s singing voice was dynamic and soulful, and her taste in music was excellent.  She was athletic and took an interest in health, and made sure her family ate and lived well. God and his presence in nature were of primary importance in her daily routine, and within that faith, her family’s health and happiness were paramount. Diana lived a life of service and quiet philosophical observation. She was honest, kind, giving, friendly, deeply empathetic, practical, just, rational, resourceful and imaginative. Diana brightened many lives; she gave us nursery rhymes, cinema, principles, moments of unimaginable laughter, and quiet times for ourselves where we could develop as people and cultivate our own deep relationships with God. The Yahtzee Queen, The Champ, Di, Mamma Borghesi, Mrs. Krimmel… Whatever you called her, it meant huge heart.

She donated to the police, the veterans, and gave to the poor and unfortunate.
