Diane M Straub (née Davis) 82, passed away on August 6, 2021
Diane was born in St. Louis, MO May 31, 1939
She attended Eureka High School
Diane worked as young woman for Southwestern Bell, until she became a homemaker and raised three children. When she returned to the work force she worked in retail for many years at Casual Corner. Later Diane pursued a career in insurance and worked as property and casualty agent. She worked for Siebert Insurance Agency until she retired. She enjoyed music, gardening, bird watching, reading, and word puzzles. She loved her family and her grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them. Diane had a strong faith and was comforted in her final days by God’s promise of eternal life.
Diane is survived by two of her children, David Straub, Amy (Steve) Miller; grandson’s ,Zach and Alex Felkel; her brother, Carl (Sylvia) Davis, Brian Davis, and her sister, Margie (Dave) Watson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Irene Davis, her brother Ronald Davis, and beloved daughter Laura Straub.
A Celebration Of Life is planned for October 2, 2021 at Broemmelsiek Park, Defiance, MO 11:00-3:00 at the visitor center: More details to follow
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
