Donald was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Beaumont High School. He continued on to Parks Aeronautical College and the Airforce. He had a 35-year career at St. Louis Lambert Field with TWA.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Sondker (nee Hartman), parents Adolph and Rose Sondker, and brother Milton (Janet) Sondker.
Donald was the loving father of Deborah (Steve) Schmidt and Brian (Kelli) Sondker; dearest grandfather of Lauren and Lindsey Schmidt, Ella and Tylor Sondker, and special friend Nell Fitzwater. Dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
At the request of the deceased there are no services. His ashes were taken to St. Charles Memorial Gardens for placement in the niche with wife Barbara.
