Dortha “Dot” McMillon

Died:  May 29, 2021 - St. Charles, MO

Dortha (Dot) Huffman McMillon passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 - two hours and forty minutes before her 87th birthday.

Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Neely (Joe) McMillon, her parents, Clarence & Erma (Bell) Huffman, six brothers and sisters, and her daughter-in-law.  She is survived by her three children, Nick, Jackie, and Pat; a sister, Jeanie Eubanks of Kennett, MO, daughter-in-law, and soon-to-be daughter-in law, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews - and her VERY SPECIAL FRIEND & CAREGIVER - Bennie Goodwin.

Dot worked as a waitress at Smart Field Airport Restaurant, in St. Charles, MO, but was the proudest of her many years as a bus driver for the children of the Orchard Farm School District.  She loved classic country music, and even sang with a little local band for a short time.

Dot, Joe & Jackie lived in Kennett, MO area for quite a few years before she & Jackie moved back to St. Charles after Joe’s passing -  to be “near her boys” and grandchildren.  Dot moved to “Fairwinds River’s Edge” independent living community  in 2018 where she made many friends and met her “Bennie” - another Arkansas born soul- who became her loving and compassionate “care giver” during the good times and the bad.

A private memorial service will be held at “Fair Winds Rivers Edge” on Saturday, June 12, 2021 with interment at Mitchell Cemetery, Greenway, AR. on June 19, 2021
