Hoover, Elisabeth J. (Betty), (nee Roehrig), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died October 3, 2015. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, James W. Hoover. Proud and dedicated mother of six children: Elise Daniels (Michael), Carla Darlington (Richard), James (Jean), Robert, David, and Steven (Kelley). Adored by her grandchildren: Rick Darlington, Michael Darlington, Andy Hoover, Jimmy Hoover, Jenna McEwen (Tyler), Natalie Daniels, Blake Hoover (Bridget Cauley), Alex Hoover, and Kayla Hoover and by her great-granddaughter, Olivia Hoover. Cherished daughter of the late Anton and Elisabeth Roehrig. Received her B.A. from Fontbonne University. Began a career at St. Louis Auto Auction after her children were grown. Retired after 25 years.
Betty was most remembered as a woman who loved, above all else, her Catholic faith and her family. She had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. For Betty, work always came before play. Betty never met a stranger.
Visitation at church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church, 7701 Hwy. N, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368. Luncheon at 12:00 noon at the home of Michael and Elise Daniels, 9 Forest Knoll Circle, Lake St. Louis. Private interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

This organization provided Betty with Meals on Wheels for the past 2 years. She was grateful for the delicious food and caring volunteers who delivered a hot noontime meal five days per week.
