Elizabeth Lacey Quinn (nee: Hinkle), of St. Peters, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the age of 35. She was born on June 17, 1984 in Rolla, Missouri to the late John Hinkle and Sarah Blevins. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Channing Quinn; mother to Remi and Adler Quinn; dear sister to Nicki (Tyler) Dobbins and Cyndi (Todd) Dickerson; daughter-in-law to Michael and Debbie Quinn; sister-in-law to Zachary Quinn and Amber Quinn. She is also survived by her grandmother Patricia Hinkle, and Channing’s grandparents George and Elizabeth Tessmer and Bob and Gloria Quinn. Also, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Elizabeth was born and raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It molded every aspect of her life. On June 7, 1997, she was dedicated and baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She had unshakeable faith and love for her heavenly father, Jehovah. She served him loyally and with zeal her entire life.
Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 2002. She studied nursing at St. Charles Community College where she received her Associates degree. She worked diligently as a registered nurse for 14 years.
Always the social butterfly, she was happy, bubbly, and outgoing. Her love for babies was unmatched. She held, squeezed and kissed any baby she could get her hands on, but the chunkier the better. A vase of fresh cut flowers always filled her kitchen table, whether they were purchased or right from her yard; and there was ALWAYS an empty coffee mug rolling around on the passenger side of her car.
Elizabeth’s life changed when she, along with her two sisters began attending the Saint Peters congregation. This is where she met the love of her life, Channing. They were married on April 7, 2007. They shared a love of traveling with friends and family. She was always up for an outdoor adventure, and it was usually centered around water. Camping, boating, floating the river, cliff jumping at the lake, scuba diving, swimming, and relaxing around a bonfire were some of her favorite activities.
Elizabeth fulfilled her lifelong dream to become a mother when she and Channing welcomed their daughter, Remi, in 2015. They couldn't have dreamed up a more beautiful little girl that brought unparalleled joy to their lives. In 2017, their son Adler was born. He was the final piece that completed Elizabeth’s life and filled her heart with happiness. She loved to capture every precious moment of them with photos and videos, sharing them with those she loved. Her pride in her children was easily seen by their adorable outfits, so carefully chosen.
She was a daughter, a niece, a granddaughter, and a cousin. She was a mother, a wife, a sister, and a best friend, but these are merely titles. Elizabeth touched and affected so many lives. Everyone that met her was instantly drawn in. She felt like your best friend, your sister, your missing piece. We all had more fun and laughed louder when she was near. Her laugh was infectious and will never be forgotten.
