As a devoted father, he took great pride in his children, Delanie and Janis, and embraced the role of co-parent to Matthew (Leslie), Cameron (Cali), Kelcie (Mike), and Breann (Nick) with an unwavering dedication. Gene's heart swelled with pride as he became a grandfather to Landyn, Aubree, Millie, Olivia, Briar, Kip, Henry, Margaret, and Cooper. His family was his greatest joy, and he nurtured these relationships with kindness and humor.
In addition to his immediate family, Gene is survived by his siblings: Jeanine, Tammy (Steve), and Cory. He was a beloved uncle to David, Amy, Katy, Lynn, and Laura, and maintained a cherished relationship with his nephew and friend, Don (Wanda).
