Gerald "Jerry" Brown

Brown, Gerald "Jerry" Matthew, 83, of Troy, Mo, died on November 15, 2024.

Jerry was born in St. Louis, MO on October 2, 1941, and graduated from University City High School in 1960, he continued on to serve in the U.S. Navy for 4 years.

Jerry was married to the late Nancy Swyers on March 29, 1968, for 54 years.

Jerry worked as an international sales executive in the transportation industry for over 40 years before he retired to travel, spend time with loved ones and enjoy his golden years. Jerry was always one to lend you a hand in whatever capacity he could, the life of the party who was always one for entertaining with his sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his 3 children, stepdaughter Dawn Hlavaty, Allen (Carla) Brown, and Kevin (Susie) Brown, his grandchildren Brandon, Hunter, and Vaughn, great grandchild Brantley; dear brother of Gloria (Dick) Barrett, June Wall, and Pam (Fred) Bielby along with all their children and families.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Peggy Brown, his brother Jack Brown, and his beloved wife Nancy Brown.

A celebration of life ceremony will be scheduled in the future in lieu of the holiday season.
