Glen E. Taylor

Glen E. Taylor, 87, of St. Peter's, Missouri, surrounded by his family, went to be with his Lord on June 23, 2016 peacefully in his sleep.

Glen was born in Granite City, Illinois on April 30, 1929. He graduated from Blewett High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in The United States Army as a Corporal. He was in the Korean War and was stationed in Germany from 1951 to 1953. Glen was married to the late Virginia A. Taylor (Coughlin) on April 11, 1953.

Glen worked as a grocery store manager with A&P (Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company) for more than 30 years.

He enjoyed fishing, baseball, watching TV, movies, music and spending time with his friends and family.

Glen is survived by his eight children, Regina A. Mullins and her husband Jerry, Ann Christy Seckman, Marianne Wibbenmeyer and her husband Steve, Patricia A. Taylor, Jacquelyn A. Kersten and her husband Jim, Kathleen A. Waite and her husband Steve, Julie A. Fink and her husband Kevin, Glen G. Taylor and his wife Tammi; his 13 grandchildren Chloe Mullins, Jason and Dan Seckman, Matthew, Karri (Richardson), Craig and Meghan Wibbenmeyer, Ginny (Chrun) and Molly Kersten, Eric, Jake and Corey Nuernberger, Brian Fink, his 9 Great Grandchildren; and the rest of his relatives and friends.

Glen is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virgina (Ginny) A. Taylor parents, Leo Taylor and Bonnie Lucille (Christy) Plaskey, his stepfather, Joseph Plaskey, and step-sister Shirley Plaskey.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, with a funeral mass following at 11:00 AM on June 30, 2016 at All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peter's, Missouri. Father Andrew Burkemper will be officiating. Glen will be cremated and buried with his loving wife Ginny, at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery at a later date.
