Howard William Marshall, 79, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Frontier Health and Rehabilitation in St. Charles, Missouri. Howard was born on September 16, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Howard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois A. Marshall (nee McGlasson). He was the most cherished father to Todd W. (Mary) Marshall and Holly C. (Peter) McIntyre and dearly loved stepfather to Regina A. (Keith) Leonard and Raymond A. (Desi) Marshall. Howard was the proud grandfather of Sean, Ryan, and Avery; Amanda, Annelise, Susannah, Samuel, Elijah, Cheyenne, and Cody; and great-grandfather of Ella, Jude, Jonah, and Leo. He was a loving brother to Larry and Don (Nancy). He is preceded in death by his dearest brother, Ray “Jim” (Susan) and his parents, Raymond G. and Clarice J. Marshall.
Howard worked as a union floor installer until his retirement and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local #1310. He enjoyed playing cards with friends, fishing, working on his 1989 Nissan 240S, and watching documentaries on the Discovery Channel. Howard is well-known for his humor, easy laugh, gentleness, and love of helping others. He will be deeply missed.
Per Howard’s wishes, a private memorial gathering will be held for family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) and the Johns Hopkins’ COVID-19 Response (www.hopkinsmedicine.org).
