James Thomas Whitehead III, 69
James (Jim), (J.T.), Thomas Whitehead III, 69 originally from Providence, Rhode Island, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Anthony's Medical Center.
Jim was born August 1, 1946 in Providence, Rhode Island to Martha (Smith) Whitehead and James Thomas Whitehead, Jr. He graduated high school from North High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1964 and enlisted in the army there after.
Jim was retired from many years working as a salesman and enjoying life as it came. He always loved his time living on the West Coast and spending as much time on the beach as possible. Jim was an avid and talented pool player and spent much of his down time reading a good book.
He is survived by his son, James (Jay) Thomas Whitehead, IV, 39, his wife Amy (Elfers) Whitehead and their two children: Emma Rose Whitehead, 14 and James (Jayce) Thomas Whitehead V, 10.
He is also survived by his daughter, Ashley (Whitehead) Davis, 32, her husband Jared Davis, and their son, Caden James Davis, 4.
James was also survived by a sister, Liz Hobson of Wichita, Kansas and her two children: Graham Hobson, 38, his wife Sara Hobson, their two daughters: Lucca, 6, and Perri, 3. Lauren (Hobson) Boully, 34, her husband Kevin Boully and their daughter, Arden, 2, and they are expecting their second daughter.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Martha and James Thomas Whitehead Jr.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held Saturday April 9, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at his son's residence at 52 Verdant View Manor Ct. Wentzville, MO 63385. A balloon release will take place at 5:30 PM at this residence as a Veteran send off.
