Jean M. Rucker

Jean Marie (Gerdes) Rucker, of O'Fallon, MO died on October 29, 2023 in her home. In the care of her family, of a long 1 year illness. Mrs. Rucker was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight A. and Barbara J. Gerdes of Lake St. Louis.

Mrs. Rucker is survived by her husband, Paul F. Rucker, two children, Jon-Paul Rucker of O'Fallon, MO and Felicia Coke of August, MO, and three grandchildren; Madison, Savannah, and Leanah. Two sisters, Gail Wood and Bonnie White; two brothers, Dwight Alan Gerdes and Tom Gerdes.

Mrs. Rucker was born at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on February 6, 1954. Her family moved from Iowa to St. Louis County in 1968 where she attended Crestview Middle School and graduated from Layfatette High School and Cosmetology in March 1972.

For over decades, Mrs. Rucker worked as a cosmetologist, most notably at Henry's International Salon, a long time salon in Chesterfield.

She married Paul Rucker of Ballwin, MO on December 22, 1972 and the couple soon purchased a home in rural St. Charles County.
