Monnig, Jeanette Anna Lee (nee Krueger), 91, of Ferguson, MO died on November 7, 2021.
Jeanette was born in Black Jack, Missouri to Herbert and Olga Krueger, the second of five children that included Wesley, Carol, Alvin and LauVera.
She met Fred Monnig at Ferguson High School and they married in 1949. She worked for many years at the Ferguson Florissant School District.
Jeanette was very generous with her time through the years by volunteering as a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, and contributing time and talent to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and Immanuel UCC.
Mom loved and supported her family and friends, and there were a lot of them! She especially enjoyed traveling and visited many countries. She loved nature, gardening, photography and quilting.
She is survived by her children Candace (Bob) Anderson, Steve Monnig, Renee’ Benage, and Roxanne (Jim) Mason; grandchildren Nicole Cerny, Shane and Gabe Monnig, Andrew Benage, Clay and Jeff Mason, her great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
She will be missed. The family is deeply grateful and wishes to thank her caregiver Judy and the excellent service from Vitas Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held at 11am at Immanuel UCC, 221 Church Street, 63135 on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, please take your mom, aunt or loved one to lunch – or give them flowers! Mom’s favorites were white daisies and red roses. Memorials in her memory can be made to Immanuel UCC or Wolfner Talking Book Library, or a charity of your choice.
