Jeffrey Michael Deters passed away Saturday, July 9, in Lake Saint Louis. Jeffrey was 41.
Jeffrey was born Oct. 14, 1974. He grew up in St. Peters, MO and graduated from Fort Zumwalt South in 1993. Jeffrey earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master's in public affairs from the Truman School of Public Affairs, also at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Jeffrey resided in Jefferson City for several years, where he worked in state government. He later moved to Lake Saint Louis and was employed by the National GeoSpatial Intelligence Agency.
Jeffrey attended St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Ballwin and volunteered for the Wentzville School District.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his father, Michael Deters. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Deters; his children, Julia, Joshua and Isabella; his mother, Anna Deters; his sister, Rebecca Deters; and one nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Ballwin Saturday, July 16, at 1 p.m., with a visitation beginning at noon.
