Jess L. Moore

Jess L. Moore was born on September 25, 1949 and passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was 70 years old. Jess is survived by his wife Carrie Moore, brother Harold (Anna) Moore, sister Kathy Moore, son Lowell (Lauren) Moore, daughter Sarah (Justin) Pittman and stepson Jason Faust. Jess has four grandchildren Layla Arnold, Kaylee Collier, Anthony Collier and Nick Faust.

Jess grew up in the Kansas City, MO area where he attended Southeast High School. In his teenage years he developed a love for motorcycles. Jess joined the Navy in 1969. He was trained as an Aircraft Mechanic and promoted to E5 before his honorary discharge on May 6, 1975. Following his military service, Jess moved back to Kansas City for a time and then relocated to St. Louis, MO. He worked for the Maplewood School District for almost 30 years. More recently Jess worked at The Principia School where he was loved and adored by staff and students. Jess’s life revolved around his family, friends and AA. He was a hard-working, kind, loving and giving man who blessed many by courageously using his struggles to invest in other and help them through their struggles. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Service will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, December 12 at Hazelwood Baptist Church (6161 Howdershell Rd, Hazelwood, MO 63042). Burial with military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, Saint Louis, MO 63125). Please arrive by 12:50pm. All are welcome to attend both services.
