JoAnn Lorraine Barban (nee Mills), 77, of St. Louis, MO, passed on Monday, February 17, 2020.
JoAnn was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 21, 1942, to John and Esther Mills (nee Slezak). She attended and graduated from Jennings High School in 1960.
She then went on to soon become a wife to Earl Barban and mother to two sons, Earl Jr and Robert.
Throughout her work years, she had many professions. She was a school bus driver, tour guide, type setter, an Avon representative and an administrative assistant for St. Louis Community College. While working fulltime she also cared for her aging parents until their departures. She retired from St. Louis Community College in 2018. She enjoyed spending her new-found time with her family, friends, and most of all her many fur babies. She passed with her faithful Ringo by her side.
JoAnn is survived by her two sons Earl (Chel) Barban, Robert (Carrie) Barban, her four grandsons; Robert Jr (Katie) Barban, Kristopher Aldrich, Kurtis (Tori) Aldrich, and Koty Aldrich; and her two-great grand-daughters LillyAnn and Ava.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Esther Mills and her brother John Mills Jr.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5pm until 8 pm at Hutchens Mortuary on March 2, 2020.
In lieu of flower memorials, JoAnn requested to have donations made to either the Humane Society or any pet rescue organization.
