John H. Steuber, Jr., 86 years young, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

John was born in St. Louis on November 20, 1936. He graduated from Eugene Coyle High School.

John was married to Helga Steuber (deceased) on June 14, 1958 in Berlin, Germany. On April 27, 2002 he married Marja Horbach in St. Louis, Missouri.

John served in the United States Air Force from 1956 -1959. After his time in the service he worked for the US Department of Commerce. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was also actively involved in the Brentwood Lion's Club for many years.

John is survived by Marja Horbach, wife, children: Barb (Jim) Lange, John (Lisa) Steuber, Patty (Chris Naccarato) Steuber, grandchildren: Jimmy (Meredith) Lange, Justin (Melissa) Lange, Katie (Jim Thomas II) Lange, Justin (Megan) Wessels, Logan and Laci Varner, great grandchildren: Ellie, Josie, Phoebe, Amelia, and Louis Lange.

John is preceded in death by Helga Steuber (wife), John Steuber, Sr. and Evelyn Steuber (parents), and Jim and Jerry Steuber (brothers).

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Raymond-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Crestwood. There will be a private burial at Jefferson Barracks at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital.
