Joyce Marie Kettenbrink

September 19, 1931 — September 19, 2024

St. Charles, Missouri

Joyce Marie Kettenbrink (nee: Sieber) left us on her 93rd birthday, September 19, 2024, having lived a full life filled with love and laughter.

Joyce is sorely missed by her three children, Kathy Lands, Susan Kettenbrink and Steve (Terri) Kettenbrink; her four grandchildren, Donna Sanders, Bridget (Jameson) Allen, Grace Kettenbrink and Cameron Lands; and her six great grandchildren, Collin, Teagan, Claire, Delaney, Cormack and Lachlan. She will also be remembered fondly as a dear cousin, aunt, and adopted matriarch to the extended Lands family.

Leading by example, Joyce reminded us to always be kind, to love everyone exactly how they are, and stand up for what you believe in. Family and friends will remember her as one of the most accepting, supportive, loving, strong, patient, and fun loving women they ever had the privilege of knowing.

Joyce’s circle of friends was wide, including those she met during 20 years as a teacher at Garrett Elementary in Hazelwood School District, and as a decades-long member of the neighborhood Bingo Club. She loved to travel and went all over the world with friends after her children were grown. She loved playing board games, going to Trivia Nights, and working out puzzles. She followed the Cardinals and the news with equal vigor.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Fred Kettenbrink, and her brother and sister-in-law Melvin and Grace Sieber.

For those looking for a way to honor Joyce, the family suggests donations to Habitat for Humanity or the Humane Society of Missouri.
