Julie Elizabeth King, “Jules”, 56, of Lake St. Louis, MO, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 23, 2021. Julie was born in Birmingham, England, brought to the US when she was 5 years old and grew up in west Michigan, graduating from Hopkins High School. She went on to work at General Motors at the age of 18 where she very proudly worked for 38 years. She was versatile in several different departments there and truly enjoyed the relationships she built over the years. She enjoyed helping others, spending time with her grandchildren, attending bingo and going to the casino. She deeply loved her bird Bodie and spending time with him.
Julie is survived by her three children Danielle (William) Magoon, Dakota (Nicholas Stevens) McNees and Dylan (Sarah Thomas) McNees; her stepchildren Eddie McNees Jr. and Elias (Molly) McNees; her four grandchildren Blake Hubert, Alaina McNees, River Magoon and Addison McNees; her parents Stephen and Sue King and John and Jane Boersma; her siblings Rodney King, Russel King, Ryan King, Jennifer Wolters and John Boersma; her long-time partner Joseph Henke and her best friend Nancy Graves.
A visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Baue Funeral Home in O’Fallon, MO on Friday, December 3, 2021, followed by a memorial service that will begin at 4:00pm. A celebration of life will follow the memorial service.
