Karen Elsa Fullilove Cook, 73, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on February 10, 2025, just days shy of her 74th birthday. Born on February 22, 1951, in Bronx, New York, Karen was the beloved daughter of Pastor Harry and Ruth Fullilove. Throughout her life, she was a devoted mother, sister, and friend, with an inquisitive spirit that touched the lives of everyone around her. Karen married Phillip Merle Cook, and together they raised two sons, Terrence Ian Cook and Tristan Sean Cook.
After receiving her Associate of Arts Degree from Waldorf University, Karen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Southeast Missouri State University. Karen’s professional career was a reflection of her versatility and restless curiosity. She worked in a variety of fields, including stints with the U.S. Postal Service, academia, the airline industry, data entry services, library services, senior services, and fitness training. Her ability to adapt and excel in diverse roles demonstrated her commitment to making a difference wherever she worked.
In her later years, Karen found joy in retirement, surrounded by her cherished collection of books. She was an avid reader, immersing herself in the world of history and theology, and also found great comfort in an online community of friends and supporters who kept her spirits high. She had a predilection to understand as much about the people and the world around her as possible, a unique facet of her personality that was most apparent in the way she cultivated the relationships in her life.
Karen is survived by her brother Colin Fullilove, her two sons, Terry and Tristan Cook, and her granddaughter, Chloe Cook.
