Karen Joann Lunsford

Karen Joann Lunsford, 66, of O’Fallon, MO, died on March 5, 2023.

Karen was married to Dave Lunsford on September 5, 1975, they were married for 47 years.

Karen worked in the transportation industry for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was known for her ability to design patterns and create fantastic Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her two children, David (Valerie) Lunsford II of Boss, MO, and Crystal (Dean) Botkin of Festus, MO; three grandchildren, Hunter Lunsford, Evan Botkin, and Ethan Botkin. She is the dear sister of Walter (Susan) Schweiger, Ronald (Dianne) Schweiger and Laura (Wil) Vigil, and sister-in-law of Debbie Schweiger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Schweiger and Mary Gatz, stepfather, Ted Gatz, her brother Kenneth Schweiger, and grandson David Jairus Lunsford III.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society. The family of Karen Lunsford would like to thank the wonderful staff at Vitas Hospice.
