Lynda Louise Conboy (Mooney) 58, of Augusta, MO, passed with her family by her side on June 24th, 2022 after battling rare Appendiceal cancer for five months.
Lynda was raised in White Plains, NY. She was married to the love of her life, best friend and high school sweetheart, Thomas Conboy for 37 years. Tom and Lynda’s love for travel was fulfilled by Tom’s Navy career and Lynda’s career in the airline industry. They visited many countries throughout the world.
Her career at Trans States Holdings Inc. spanned more than 25 years. She started working in customer service administration, but over the last several years worked in the accounts payable department. She is described as a dedicated employee with a positive influence, as well as a beloved friend that took great pride in her department.
Lynda lived life for each day and appreciated every moment. She was happiest when in nature and sharing this time with her children and grandchildren. She nurtured her rescue animals and was a lifelong animal lover. She also loved experiencing live music at any opportunity.
Lynda was blessed to have spent the last 7 years of her life in Augusta, Missouri. She and Tom loved riding their bikes on the Katy trail. They gathered eggs from their chickens and worked in their gardens, planted both a fruit orchard and a Christmas tree farm. They drank coffee on their deck while watching the bikers on the Katy trail, enjoying everything the beautiful winery town had to offer.
Lynda is survived by her husband Thomas Conboy; daughters, Erin Conboy Alonzo, Caitlyn (Drew) Buchholz and Lindsey (Erich) Stubblefield; her grandchildren Molly and Lucy Alonzo, Vivienne Buchholz and August Stubblefield; her mother Madelyn Jean Mooney; sisters Monica Mooney (Robert Adams), Marilyn Mooney (Randall Brown), Anne (Steve) Kendall; nieces Danielle (Matthew) Miller and Sarah Adams. In addition, she is survived by her Mother-in-law Joanne Morris, Brother-in-Law, Michael (Karen) Conboy, Sister-in-law, Mary (Chris) Haywood and nephews Eddie, Brian and Stephan Conboy, Brendan and Devon Haywood. She is preceded in death by her father, Franklin Mooney, niece Paige Bucciarelli, father in law’s Edward Conboy and William Morris.
