Margaret “Mog” Jane Roberts, of O’Fallon, MO, at the age of 84, passed into heaven to her eternal home on August 31, 2021 at 1:05am.

She was born at home in Puxico, MO, on February 11, 1937, to Lona and Lester Roberts. She is survived by one sister, Virginia Andrews of Puxico, MO and a sister-in-law Dorothy (Charles) Roberts of Advance, MO. Her siblings were Clarence (Zelma) Roberts, Freeman (Elaine) Roberts, Mary (Freeman) Clark, John (Iris) Roberts, Joe (Bonnie) Roberts, Charles (Dorothy) Roberts, Francis (Bob) Andrews, and Virginia (Glen) Andrews. Although she never married, Mog had 23 nieces and nephews and 54 great to great-great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and enjoyed spending time with.

She graduated from Puxico High School, Puxico, MO, and then went to college at Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was an elementary school PE teacher at Maryville Elementary School in Granite City, IL for 24 years from 1959-1985. After retiring from teaching she flipped houses, purchased apartment complexes that she managed and repaired, participated in Senior Olympics, loved playing golf, tennis and bowling, traveled abroad, excelled in puzzles, volunteered at Special Olympics, participated in Senior Olympics and just loved being with her family and friends.

Mog was devoted to her family and her faith and was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ attending Hope Bible Church in O’Fallon, MO. She loved being at church with her friends and was extremely generous, always giving to others. She was passionate about her love for Christ and for America, encouraging others to exercise their right to vote. She was a K&N Patriot standing in for the rights of the unborn and traveled to Jeff City and Washington, DC to protest for the rights of the American people. She was loved by so many and will be missed deeply.

A celebration of life has been arranged for Mog at Hope Bible Church (173 Pieper Rd, O'Fallon, MO 63366) on Saturday, September 25th. Visitation will be at 10:00am with a service to follow at 11:00pm.

Mog, loved children so In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Bible Church Youth. Checks can be made out to Hope Bible Church (173 Pieper Rd, O'Fallon, MO 63366) with a note in the memo stating “in memory of Margaret Roberts.” Checks can be mailed or envelopes will be available at the memorial.
