Mary Helen Winsby

Mary Helen Winsby, 93, of Chesterfield, Missouri, entered Heaven’s gates on June 30, 2020. Mary Helen was born in Cleveland, Ohio and she was a proud graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. She was married to Donald W. Winsby Sr., and they shared 36 years of marriage. A consummate mother, wife, and homemaker, she was an excellent cook and seamstress, and skillfully made clothes for her children in their growing years. Mary Helen had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of the Christian Science Church in Kirkwood, Missouri and she worked for several years at The Principia School. She adored jazz and classical music, attended the St. Louis Symphony and she was a life long student of piano. Mary Helen generously contributed to charitable causes that helped others, and she was a devoted member of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis. Mary Helen will be remembered for her devotion to friends and family, her kind heart, her gentle demeanor, and an incredible sense of style. Mary Helen is survived by her husband Don, her children and their spouses; Rachel Buckley, Sarah (Gary) Bilder, Meredith (Jeff) McVehil and daughter-in-law Dianne Buckley; 5 loving grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, John Christopher Buckley. At Mary Helen’s request, a Celebration of her Life will be limited to a private family gathering.
