Mary “Jolene” (Clark) Wines, 72, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on April 30th, 2023. She went peacefully surrounded by many family and friends. She was born April 12th, 1951 in New Castle, Indiana, to Joe and Ada “Bea” (Riley) Clark. Jolene was United in marriage to Rich Wines on July 24th, 1996, in Boca Raton, Florida.
Jolene had a love for many things, God, Family, Friends, St. Louis Cardinals, Dolly Parton, Eddy Raven, Traveling, the color Pink and lastly but most certainly not least, Food.
She worked at Lockwoven, Ethel’s dry cleaners and Rock Hill dry cleaners. Her favorite job was a checker at Dierbergs West Oak, where she retired from in 2013. She earned MANY extra step awards. Customers would often stand in a longer line just for “Jolene” to check them out.
Jolene is survived by her husband Rich Wines, three children: Charlie (Michele) Lellman, Shawn (Melanie) Brown, Melanie (Eric) Spires; six grandchildren: Cameron (Kelsey) Wheeler, Adriana (Tyler) Brown, Brenden (Jordan) Wheeler, Taelor Winberry, Hannah Spires, Mia Bella Brown; one great-grandchild: Hazel Grace Wheeler; three sisters: Gloria (Hubert) Thompson, Bernita (Lloyd) Swank, Freda (Allen) Schluep; one brother: Roger Clark; two sister-in-laws: Judy (Robert) Temple, Nancy (Terry) DeWan; aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Joe and Ada “Bea” (Riley) Clark, one step-mother Pearlie Clark, in-laws Harry and Ruth Wines, one sister Carol “Jeanie” Adkins, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th, 2023. Memorial service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Gateway Church of The Nazarene, 11703 Old St. Charles Rd, Bridgeton, Missouri, 63044. Luncheon immediately following service. Please feel free to wear Jolene’s favorite color Pink to the service.
Jolene loved children and recently had her first great-grandchild that she never got to meet. We have chosen two places for those wishing to make a memorial donation in Jolene’s honor for her love of children.
