MELANIE DEANNA AITKEN

Melanie Aitken of St. John, Missouri, passed away at the age of 71 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. She is survived by her son Christopher, her dear niece Annie (Kyle) and many other relatives, including sister Jan, brother Ed (Christy), sister Karen (Dan), nieces Mindy and Danielle (Justin), nephew Graham (Wendy) and great nieces and great nephews Emily, Megan, Lauren, Lilly, Gavin, Sydney, James, Madison, Tyson, Nora, Annabelle, Devin and Drew. Melanie was also the godmother of Mindy, Emily and Lilly.

Melanie was a woman of keen intellect and retired as a supervisor for the National Archives at the federal records center in St. Louis County. She loved all manner of animals and was a wonderful gardener. She was a long-time volunteer for the Humane Society of Missouri. A perfect day for Melanie was a day spent at the St. Louis Zoo, surrounded by nieces and nephews.
