Michael J. Hoffman

Michael John Hoffman, of Wright City, MO, passed away on Sunday October 10, 2021, at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents Jean and Daniel Hoffman. Loving husband of 22 years to Laureen (Rainey) Hoffman; cherished father of Jessica Welles and her husband Eric Welles, Misty Gaw, and Aaron Roth; beloved grandfather of Erica Welles, Anna Rankin-Welles, Sommer Sanzotters; treasured great grandfather of Angel Jeremiah; dearest brother of Celia Bennett, John Hoffman and his wife Carol Hoffman, and Carl Hoffman; dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Michael proudly served in the US army in 1971, and at one time was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He worked as a sheet metal worker, and retired after 40 years of working in the industry.

Michael had a huge passion and love for hot rods and Harleys. He loved spending time in his garage working on numerous projects as well as mingling with friends and family for countless hours. Through his incredible fabrication skills and love for hot rods and Harleys, he inspired so many people to find their own passion.

What a legacy, what a life. Michael will be dearly missed and alive in each of our hearts forever. Until we're reunited again in hot rod heaven.

A public visitation will be held at Baue Funeral Home O’Fallon (311 Wood St. O’Fallon, MO 63366) on Thursday October 14, 2021 from 2 pm – 4 pm. Funeral service to immediately follow visitation.
