Our beloved Nicole Renee (Reichert) Torrence, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. She left this Earthly world in her sleep and went peacefully into the arms of our Lord.
She is survived by her son, Beau Reichert, daughter Lindsay Reichert, husband Dane Torrence, step-son Caleb Torrence, parents David Ward and Sue Speir. She also had cousins, Aunts and Uncles, life-long friends and loved ones who share in the loss of her passing.
Nicole was married to her husband, Dane Torrence on June 8, 2019. The couple were married at the home of the bride’s father in Truxton, MO.
Nicole was born in Houston Texas on November 17, 1978. She lived in Katy, Texas until she reached the fourth grade and formed lifelong friendships with the neighbors she had there.
The family moved to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Nicole attended Good Hope School in Frederiksted, VI. She enjoyed swimming on the Dolphin Swim Team, Scuba Diving, snorkeling, water skiing, sailing and playing on the beach.
In Junior High, the family moved to Key Largo, Florida where in High School she was the Editor of the School Newspaper. It was during an Internship, her Senior year, that Nicole single handedly wrote, photographed and produced the school Newspaper, The Hurricane, as a supplement of the local newspaper, The Reporter. She was also selected Miss Coral Shores at her Keys High School during her Junior Year.
Nicole attened the Univeristy of Tampa in Tampa, FL where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Minor in Grapgic Design. At Lindenwood University in St. Loius, MO she earned her Masters Degree in Business Communications.
Nicole first marriage to Greg Reichert blessed the family with two beautiful children, Beau and Lulu. The children were the absolute joy of her life. She invested heavily in their education and after school activities. She was a familiar face at their soccer and baseball games, gymnastic practices and dance competitions and school/church activities.
The Sacred Heart School was the focal point for the children’s education and spiritual teachings. It was a pivotal part of the family’s activities. It remains the focal point for the children’s spiritual enrichment to this day.
Nicole worked for over ten years as a Proposal Writer at World Wide Technologies.
There will be a Memorial Service for Nicole on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 7 PM at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, 101 St Stephen Lane, Troy, MO 63379 phone 636.528.4148
