Peter Fox, 64, of Webster Groves, Missouri, formerly of Grayslake, Illinois, passed away on January 28, 2025. Peter was a beloved scientist at Abbvie, a biopharmaceutical company in North Chicago, for more than 15 years. In his role, Peter worked as an application and data scientist to evolve science with data.
Peter will be remembered most for his dry sense of humor and for the incredible impact he had on his friends at Abbvie. He befriended many of his colleagues and they became family to him. He would make people laugh in stressful situations by asking, “are we having fun yet?”. Peter was patient, kind, an excellent problem solver, and the ultimate trivia master. He enjoyed being challenged at work and being a mentor for those who were lucky enough to be on his team. He viewed projects as a game he wanted to win – and he always did. Peter’s life was unfairly cut short not long after his retirement, and he didn’t get to enjoy the many more years he deserved.
Peter was preceded in death by his mother, Greta Ann Palmer Fox; his father, William Fredrick Fox; and his two brothers, William F. Fox and Mark Palmer Fox.
Memorial has been held. In memory of Peter, give a colleague a helping hand or “learn your new thing for the day”. Be like Peter.
