Raymond Harrison

Raymond A. Harrison,68, of Troy, MO, passed away on Oct 29, 2023 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Ray and his twin brother Robert Harrison were born on February 24, 1955 to James and Rosella (Grass) Harrison. After Ray graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 1973, he went on to work for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 30 years. After retiring at 53 he enjoyed working at Home Depot in Wentzville part time.

He enjoyed being outside, whether it was mushroom hunting, working on his 42 acres, or just walking a crick bed with his wife trying to find a cool rock. He was always on the hunt for the next great deal. He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife in the camper looking for the next great SALE. Ray never knew a stranger and was always the first one to jump in and help when needed. He loved working on puzzles with his kids and spending time with his granddaughters. He also especially loved hunting and fishing and spending winters with his Okee family.

Ray is survived by his wife Sandy (McMullen) of 32 years and stepdaughter Dawn (John McDonald) Sutter, stepson Trent Sutter, and granddaughters Serenity and Alana Sutter; mother Rosella Reusch and brother Robert Harrison; along with multiple nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Ray was predeceased by his father James I Harrison and stepfather Jerry Reusch.

No services will be held as that was Ray’s wish. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer research, so we can help find a treatment option.

 A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
