Richard Marion Stewart, 71, of O’Fallon, MO died on March 12, 2025. Rick was born in St. Louis, MO and graduated from McCluer High School. He continued his education at the University of Missouri St. Louis where he played baseball. He went on to Arizona State and then came back to UMSL to finish his BS degree.
Rick went on to work at McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) and retired in 2018 after a 40-year career. His passion was his family, his lawn, and sports, with baseball being his favorite. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, and grandpa, who left a lasting impact on their lives.
Rick was married to Diana (DeDe) on April 14, 1984. They were about to celebrate 41 years of marriage.
Rick is survived by his wife DeDe, his 2 daughters Brittany (Dennis) Gildea and Jamie (Rodrick) Williams, his grandchildren Camrynn, Kyndall, Kingston, and Luna; and brothers Roger (Avis) Stewart, Russ (Janet) Stewart.
He is preceded in death by his parents Johnie and Esther Stewart and brothers Randy and Rodney Stewart.
The Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held Sunday April 13th, 2025 from 11-2 at Town Square Pub, 7843 Highway N, Dardenne Prairie, MO. In honor of Rick’s love for baseball and The St. Louis Cardinals we are asking everyone to wear Cardinal gear or Cardinal red.
