Robert Joseph House, 60, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at home with his family by his side in Columbia, Illinois.
Robert was born October 2, 1956, in East St. Louis, Illinois to Robert E. and Betty J. (nee Klemme) House. Devoted husband of 26 years of Christine (nee Rodgers) House. Robert was a part of the Army Reserve. He was owner and estimator of Archview Metals Systems in Columbia, IL. In 2016, Robert achieved 40 years of good standing service from the Sheet Metal Workers International Association from Local Union No. 268.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. House, paternal grandparents, Rose L. (nee Terry) and Roy E. House; maternal grandparents, Walter and Julia Klemme; aunts and uncles.
Surviving are his wife, Christine House of Columbia, Ill.; daughter, Jyll (Robert) Reed of Columbia, Ill.; mother, Betty J. House of Waterloo, Ill; step-daughter, Jessica (Robert) Kennedy of Florissant, Mo.; step-daughter, Jodie (Dustin Politsch) Olmstead of Lenzburg, Ill.; step-daughter Jacquelyn Gregoire of Columbia, Ill.; grandsons, Jacob Inselmann and Jaydon Smith; granddaughters, Emma and Addison Kennedy; sister, Janine (Fred) Weisenborn of Phillipsburg, Mo.; sister, Marjorie (Mike) Schwartz of Columbia Ill.; brother, Walter (Jodie) House of Columbia, Ill.; and by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial will be held at the American Legion in Columbia, Illinois, June 17, 2017 at 2pm -6pm.
