FRIEDMAN, ROSE CHERVENAK, 96. Our much-beloved and cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully and gracefully of natural causes on the evening of April 5, 2018. She lives on in the memory of her children, their families, and the many friends and relations whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her steadfast and devoted husband of 54 years, Nugent B. Friedman.
She lived a long life of love and generosity. She was quick-witted but kind, forthright but always gentle. Raised during the Depression and touched by the cruelties of war and illness, she endured more than her share of hardships but never surrendered herself to bitterness. Instead, she was a woman of unwavering fortitude and courage, which she shared with her loved ones when we needed those things most.
She made a safe and happy home for her family, shared joy and laughter all her days, and to the last gave more thought to those around her than to herself.
Her family and friends will always feel her love and strength. No formal services are planned, but she would be happy to know that you held her in your thoughts.
