Sandra Jean Snyder, nee Virgin, age 72, of O’Fallon, Missouri, born on January 30, 1945 in Belleville, Illinois, passed away on May 8, 2017, at home from a rare lung cancer.
She graduated Belleville Township High School in 1963 and went to attend and graduate from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. Through the years, Sandy had various occupations, but mostly loved working in the legal field and retired as a legal secretary.
Sandy was very active in her church. Twin Rivers Worship Center, in St. Louis, Missouri, where she had many dear friends. She was also a lifetime member of CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) and had many dear friendships acquired over the years in the motorcycling world.
She enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling, and being outdoors enjoying nature and the beauty of God’s creation. In recent years, she took a fond interest in horses and visited many horse farms in the Lexington, Kentucky area. Her favorite horse farm WAS "Old Friends" in Georgetown, KY, a retirement facility for retired thoroughbred horses.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton G. and Alice J. Virgin, nee Owen, and a sister, Gail Marie Virgin.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roger L. Snyder, of O’Fallon, Missouri, whom she married on January 1st, 1983.
There will be no funeral service as Sandy has donated her body to science with the Washington University School of Medicine.
